About Marjorie Hanft

A member of the online poetry collective, Brevitas, Marjorie Hanft's poems have appeared in such journals as Calyx, Cauldron Anthology, First Literary Review-East, Graham House Review, Muddy River Poetry Review, Obsidian, Persimmon Tree, and various anthologies. Her chapbook titled "Scrutinizing the Dust," will be released by Finishing Line Press in 2024. Ms. Hanft lives in E. Central IL, where she has been an avid hiker since retiring from a faculty position in the psychology department at Eastern Illinois University in 2015. She is the caretaker of her 101-year-old dad with the help of her partner (a geologist who studies volcanoes) and has two grown-up daughters who live nearby.
